The Steamboat Grand is affiliated with Resort Condominiums International (RCI). This means that owners have the option of participating in a global condominium exchange program. RCI is the world's largest and most respected private broker of exchanges today. They have more than 3,800 affiliated resorts in over 80 countries. The first year of membership with RCI is obligatory, but renewal is at the option of the owner. Membership allows the owner to deposit weekly increments of time with the RCI space bank program. Owners may then request an exchange from an RCI vacation coordinator for a similar sized unit. The coordinator then attempts to find available inventory within the space bank system to fulfill that request. Subject to availability, the owner pays only a nominal fee for the exchange.
